After a very successful night, the group decided to play regularly together and consequently named themselves The Simon Street Quartet. The gigs starting flying in, including some special one-offs including an hour long acapella set of Christmas tunes for a Christmas Lunch.
Now the group are employed as musicians in various capacities whilst rehearsing weekly and developing the setlist to incorporate swung versions of current hits as well as more and more classic numbers.

Liz studied music at Huddersfield University and is now employed by Cheshire Music Service to deliver the Woodwind and Vocal parts of the Wider Opportunities program at KS2 Level. She has also been heavily involved in many community outreach projects where she has worked as a composer. She recently lead a teacher training session for "Songwriting in schools" for the Northwest Sing-Up Teacher Conference 2009. As an active composer she continues to be involved in many creative projects in both Cheshire and Huddersfield and is a member of the contemporary Edges Ensemble, working closely with the HCMF festival. She also teaches French to Nursery and Primary school pupils. |

Susanna studied music at Huddersfield University and is now a private teacher and professional pianist and saxophonist.
She performers at a number of hotels and restaurants while managing a busy teaching schedule. In addition to playing with the SimonStreet Quartet Susanna is also a member of the Soulutions Soul band.

Scott is a Music PhD Student at Huddersfield University who loves to play jazz. He directs the Huddersfield Experimental Laptop Orchesertra and co-directs the InclusiveImprov improvisation collective. Scott also enjoys portrait photography. In his spare time Scott enjoys prawn cocktail crisps and cherry coke though his real passions is for root beer. Scott also teaches and lectures.

Jay is an experienced musician and composer having worked with a number of signed acts and ensembles and composed choral works for vocal groups such as the Cheshire Youth Choir, the CBSYC, YES Singers and the Quay Voices. He studied music technology and popular music at Huddersfield University and is now employed as a vocal animateur and composer for Cheshire Music Education Partnerships and Sefton Music Service. He runs a studio at his home and frequently works with singers, songwriters and bands to produce their music. Recent work includes The Quiet Rebellion's new album "Thinnest Hopes Magnified" due for release on Local Nobody/Voiceprint records in September 2009. He is also piloting a songwriting and composition scheme for the Vocal Wider Opportunities Scheme at KS2, as well as devising a similar "KS2 popular music" route for September 2009.
